Happiness…Myths and Realities

How to make wiser choices in your life for happiness leading to joy.

If you have this particular thought…………”I will be happy when…………….” you have arrived at the main myth of happiness. Dr. Sonja Lyubormirsky is the author and researcher on the topic of happiness. When I find the right mate, when I have enough money, what I have the right job, when “whatever” is the Demon, you must slay to experience happiness NOW. Postponing doing things you enjoy, waiting for the right time, right words, seeking approval from outside keeps you from happiness. The Greek myth of Sisyphus being condemned for his misdeeds in life to the eternal task of rolling a large stone to the top of a hill, from which it always rolled down again. Happiness is less likely to be achieved waiting, wishing and hoping for everything to line up perfectly before you find, discover or feel happy.
