Kind Words Go a Long Way

Just how kind are you with your words, thoughts and communication with loved ones, family and friends? Take a moment to consider how affirming, validating and positive you are with your life partner. If you are thinking these thoughts but not expressing them, time to do so. If these types of thoughts are not in your vocabulary, it may be time to make some adjustments. Even though this may not feel natural, or uncomfortable, try experimenting with the examples on the graphic. Come up with your own to let your partner know you value them. By the way, this “ought” to be a daily practice. Pay attention to your partner’s reaction. Can they take it? Many times, compliments slide off like they are Teflon coated. Inquire sincerely how they feel about the compliment or loving thoughts. Are they pleased? Do they act emabrassed or have difficulty embracing these kind words and thoughts? Practice giving and sincerely, taking compliments with grace.
If so, you need let your partner know what is in your heart by your loving words.
