Anxiety Management

Despite popular sterotypes of hypnois, this method is very effective when treating axnxiety and fear.

“Hypnosis is a state of inner absorption, concentration and focused attention. It is like using a magnifying glass to focus the rays of the sun and make them more powerful. Similarly, when our minds are concentrated and focused, we are able to use our minds more powerfully. Because hypnosis allows people to use more of their potential, learning self-hypnosis is the ultimate act of self-control.”

If you have one any of the following problems, hypnotherapy can help.

  • Anxiety or Phobias
  • Sleep Difficulty
  • Social Anxiety
  • Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD)
  • Chronic Pain
  • Quitting Smoking

Many anxiety problems can be helped with the use of biofeedback. Biofeedback is a self-training, mind-over-body technique developed in the 1940s which helps people improve their health and learn to relax by using signals from their own bodies. Biofeedback is an effective therapy for many conditions, but it is primarily used to treat high blood pressure, tension headache, Reynaud’s disease, migraine headache, and chronic pain.

The three most commonly used forms of biofeedback therapy are:

  • Electromyography (EMG), which measures muscle tension
  • Thermal biofeedback, which measures skin temperature
  • Neurofeedback or electroencephalography (EEG), which measures brain wave activity
